Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Information – updated 01.04.2020, 14.40 pm

School Closure

The PM has announced that schools will be closed to the majority of pupils from Friday 20th March until further notice.

School will be open from Monday 23rd march 2020 only for the following:

  • Pupils with an ECHP;
  • Pupils with an attached social worker;
  • Pupils of key workers – only if they are not able to remain at home.

Please note that only the Hurst Road entrance to the school will be open and the drop-off zone will be closed.  Please drop-off/collect children at the front entrance to the hall at 8.45am/3.15pm.

We are unable to provide school lunches whilst partially open.  If your child attends school during this period, please ensure they bring a packed lunch.

Pupils should attend in ‘mufti’ clothing that is suitable for PE, art activities, etc.

The government has advised that, to prevent the spread of the virus, pupils should remain at home if at all possible.  Further details, including a list of key worker roles, can be found here.

The link to work for pupils not attending school can be found on the curriculum page of the website here.  This will be available from Tuesday 24th March 2020.  During Easter, parents of pupils in years 1 – 6 will receive an email containing a username and password for, where they will be able to complete work set by their teachers for the summer term.  There will also be a parent code so that you may see any work your child has completed.  Please note that any previous login that you or you child has received will be deactivated.

Please refrain from contacting the school to request additional information – we will provide this as soon as it is available to us.  Thank you for your understanding.

At present, the school is following government guidance on COVID-19, which can be found here.
