Hurst Park Primary School
Hurst Road, Molesey, West Molesey KT8 1QS
The PTA (formerly known as ‘The Friends of Hurst Park School’) was formed in 1992 to raise extra funds to benefit the children of Hurst Park Primary School. We are formed from a group of parents and teachers (some of whom have also been parents) at the school. Every parent can become involved; all you need is a desire to help improve the environment and facilities available to the children.
In the 20 years we have been running, we have raised over £170,000 from events such as Quiz nights, Race Nights, Christmas Bazaars, raffles, auctions, children’s parties, Summer Fayres and Summer Balls.
Over the years, proceeds from our fund raising have been used to purchase interactive whiteboards for all our classrooms, playground equipment, sports equipment and a brand new long jump pit. We have also raised money to contribute towards the setting up of the foundation unit and the new classroom the “qube”. We have replaced the schools computers and have also raised money to help set up the vegetable garden. There are always new and exciting projects in the pipeline!
The PTA currently meets on the first Monday of every month at 8.00pm in the school hall. Please note that sometimes there can be a change of date. We would love to see new faces so please come along and you will be made to feel very welcome. You can get involved as little or as much as you would like and any help and new ideas are very much appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you.
In light of the government guidelines advising against non essential gatherings due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the decision to postpone any upcoming PTA events.
We continue to work with the school to follow guidelines and we will advise as and when we know more about future events.
Thank you and take care.
Anna, Sam, Louise and Sinead.
